AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A special group of mothers were celebrated in Augusta on Thursday, thanks to a donation from Walmart.
The retailer provided self-care kits to 50 women who are survivors of domestic violence. The kits included bath beads, throws, slippers, candles and more. Items were suggested by the staff at SafeHomes who see what things women in the shelter need.
“As Walmart, we support our community and it’s nothing different from what we do everyday,’ said Yvonne Crawford, store manager of the Walmart on Bobby Jones Expressway. “We take care of our associates, we take care of our customers and it certainly feels like home being here today and supporting them in this endeavor.”…
