AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Staying warmer than average the next few days with isolated storm chances, some could be strong. A strong cold front is expected to push through the CSRA on Wednesday and bring us cooler temperatures by Thursday.

Another hot day Tuesday with sunrise temperatures in the upper 60s and afternoon highs in the low 90s. It will be a little breezier Tuesday with west-southwest wind sustained between 10-15 mph with higher gusts. An isolated storm is possible in the afternoon. The higher storm chances will arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as a strong cold front brings a line of storms into the region.
Storms look likely for the CSRA early Wednesday between 1-6 AM. There is a low severe weather risk, but since these storms will move through before sunrise, instability should be low and the atmosphere will be less conducive for severe weather. Storms will clear out early Wednesday and then the rest of the day should be dry. It will be windy Wednesday with the front pushing through the region, westerly gusts up to 30-35 mph are possible.
