Health fair helping people in rural areas get access to healthcare

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – People in rural areas are getting access to health care all in effort to help bridge the gap for those who may not be able to make the drive to augusta.

The Augusta University School of Public Health teamed up with McCorckle Nurseries for a health fair on Friday.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the person’s body who was found in a shallow grave near the 15th Street bridge near Riverwatch Parkway.

They are providing mental health and addiction resources, diabetes risk assessments and more…
