Muggy evening and night on tap across the CSRA. An isolated shower is possible this evening into tonight, but most of us look dry. We’ve issued a FIRST ALERT for the possibility of severe storms Saturday and Sunday. The main threats are damaging winds and isolated hail.
Timeline for storms Saturday looks to be between 4 PM – 10 PM. Strong to severe storms will be forming west of the region earlier in the day and move east towards the CSRA later in the afternoon/evening. Stay weather aware! Before storms arrive in the CSRA Saturday, it will be hot and humid with highs in the mid-90s and feel like temperatures near 100. Widely scattered showers could start a little earlier as well, closer to 2 PM. Wind will be out of the southwest between 10-15 mph before storms arrive…
