AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Bermuda High will bring in high heat and humidity this week – possibly hottest of the year, so far. Typical isolated coverage of storms expected through the week.

Heat continues today with highs reaching the low to mid-90s with the heat index over 100. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy throughout the day with a few isolated afternoon storms possible.

Heat reamins the story through mid week as afternoon highs will stay in the mid-90s Wednesday through the weekend. The heat index getting up to 108. Stay hydrated and take breaks indoors as much as possible throughout the work week.

With excess heat and humidity the next several days, there is the chance for a few isolated pulse thunderstorms each afternoon through the weekend. With the lack of any fronts moving into the region, storms will struggle to maintain their strength, keeping the severe weather threat low…
