Crowds turn out at Augusta fairgrounds for 9th annual Juneteenth Festival

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Thursday marks 160 years since June 19th, 1865—-the day marked as the official end of slavery in the United States.

Of the many celebrations for the Juneteenth holiday, the Band of Brothers Augusta organization hosted it’s 9th annual Juneteenth festival.

Patrons and vendors set up around the Exchange Club fairgrounds, so we found out from them how they’re celebrating the big occasion…
