Serial armed robber sentenced to over 26 years

STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — A man was sentenced to over 26 years in federal prison for 10 commercial armed robberies committed in Bulloch, Burke, Chatham, Emanuel, Glascock, Jenkins and Ware Counties.

Cordell Cobb, from Waynesboro, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of interference with commerce by robbery and two counts of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

U.S. District Court Judge J. Randal Hall ordered Cobb to serve five years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term and a $12,081 restitution payment to the victimized businesses…
