AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Residents say it’s become the wild west at the Bon Air Apartments. They say shootings like this one last month make them afraid to be outside.
“I have lived there for forty years raised four children there now I have grandchildren and I’m afraid to let them go out in the backyards because of gun fire, that they could accidentally be hit with a bullet,” said Becky Smith whose property backs up to the Bon Air.
Bob Duke, the Director of Construction for the owners of the Bon Air, told city leaders the company spent more than $6 million dollars improving living conditions and increasing security at the complex…
