AIKEN, S.C. — Rolls-Royce Solutions America has announced the company will be investing $75 million and creating 60 new jobs at its manufacturing facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The facility in Aiken will increase its production of the Rolls-Royce mtu Series 4000 engines that are used as backup generators in data centers, hospitals, municipalities and government installations.
The Aiken campus, located at 660 Bettis Academy Road in Graniteville, has been in production since 2010. Rolls-Royce builds the mtu Series 4000 engines in Aiken that are then shipped to the Rolls-Royce facility in Mankato, Minnesota to be integrated into the company’s generators.
The Aiken new expansion will be completed in two phases — the first is adding 37,000 square foot to the existing manufacturing footprint, the second phase is a potential addition of another 22,000 square foot at a later date. Construction of the phase one expansion project is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026 with expanded operations to be online in July 2027…
