AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – An upper level ridge over the region will bring us above average temperatures through Sunday. A backdoor cold front is expected to push through Tuesday bringing higher rain chances and slightly cooler high temperatures by the middle of the week.
Upper level ridging will dominate our weather pattern through the weekend with high temperatures flirting with 100 degrees and heat indices 106-108 each afternoon. This will also make it difficult for storms to form, although a brief isolated shower or storm is still possible each day.
It will be a little breezy again Sunday with west to southwesterly winds steady around 8 to 13 mph and gusts near 20 mph during the day…
