North Augusta leaders give update on dead wildlife in Brick Pond Park

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – We got an update on dead wildlife in Brick Pond Park in North Augusta on Monday.

Leaders say the water testing levels are within South Carolina limits and that the test from July 15 showed there is not wastewater running into the pond.

Following a temporary suspension of the program that permitted volunteers to adopt animals from the North Augusta Animal Shelter, officials have resumed it nearly a month later.

Leaders say there were no signs of dead animals or contaminations in the wetlands though tests showed the oxygen level of the area was a little low…
