AUGUSTA, Ga. – Delta Air Lines, Augusta’s main air carrier, wants to expand its use of artificial intelligence in ticket pricing.
The company is already using it for 3% of domestic flights, according to executives. Delta said in an investors call that the company plans to use the tech built by the company Fetcherr to streamline the pricing process.
Safety is paramount at the world’s busiest airport – the one many CSRA fliers either fly out of or pass through as a hub. But there’s a problem.
“They are planning to expand the use of this technology to up to 20% of their flights,” said Lindsay Owens, executive director at Groundwork Collaborative. “Using Fetcherr in about 3% of flights, they have been able to push up prices.”…
