Highly radioactive wasp nest found at Savannah River Site

AIKEN, S.C. – A radioactive wasp nest was discovered earlier this month in South Carolina by workers at the Savannah River Site, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Energy.

The report states that on July 3, workers found a wasp nest on a stanchion near a tank at the F-Area tank farm at the Savannah River Site.

Clarence and Ebony Carr addressed the media alongside their attorney Tyler Bailey outside the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services headquarters.
