Woman arrested after crashing into marked patrol car on Broad Street

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A woman was arrested after crashing her vehicle into a marked patrol car in downtown Augusta, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle was driving impaired when she hit the patrol unit Saturday night, just before 10:30 p.m.

Officials say a deputy was traveling westbound in a marked patrol car in the 900 block of Broad Street when another vehicle pulled out of a nearby parking area and struck the patrol car on the driver’s side…
