AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF) Talk about a stressful job. The men and women who work at the Charles Webster Detention Center in Augusta can’t let their guard down for a moment. They have to manage more than a thousand inmates every day and every night. Major Chester Huffman joins us on this edition of The Means Report. He oversees operations at the jail. From inmates making weapons out of light fixtures, to the constant threat of violence, to feeding and medical care, there’s never a break for those on duty.
