Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr speaks to Rotary Club of Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, a candidate running to be the next governor of the state, visited the Rotary Club of Augusta on Monday.

Carr served as the guest speaker of a luncheon at the Rotary Club on Aug. 11, and addressed key issues in Georgia. The attorney general said the Peach State is leading the country in dealing with human trafficking, with over 250 victims rescued. There are offices in Augusta, Macon, and Atlanta, with plans in the works to open more. He said he believes focusing on treatment to lessen the number of overdose deaths in Georgia.
