AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A very saturated atmosphere the next few days will continue a low flood risk across the CSRA through Saturday. Highs will be seasonally hot in the low 90s with feel like temperatures 100+. Trending drier by Sunday into early next week.

There is a marginal flood risk across the region through Saturday. (level 1 out of 4). Heat index values between 100-105°+ today and Saturday afternoon. Make sure to stay hydrated with plenty of hydrating fluids if you’re going to be playing sports or working outside.

A typical summer pattern expected today with seasonably hot temperatures in the afternoon in the lower to mid-90s with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The risk for heavy rain in any storms that form will keep a marginal flood risk in play. A marginal risk means localized flooding is possible in a few isolated areas, but mainly for flood prone spots. Lightning and brief strong gusts are possible in storms.
