Saturday night update: The showers and thunderstorms that cooled us down Saturday afternoon have fizzled out. With skies clearing, there will be patchy fog overnight into early Sunday morning, especially in areas that saw rain. It will be mild with temperatures falling to the low to mid-70s.
If you’ve been hoping for some sunny days, you are in luck! We are going to see lots of it on Sunday and Monday. We can’t rule out spotty showers or storms, but the bigger story is going to be the heat and humidity. We’re talking about classic summer weather here in the CSRA with highs in the 90s and heat indices in the low 100s. Stay hydrated and crank up the A/C!
Things cool down a bit on Tuesday as a northeast wind brings our temperatures down a few degrees. Don’t get me wrong, it’ll still be hot and humid, but at least it’s a step in the right direction! And of course, we will still have that low threat of a shower or storm…
