AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A highly saturated atmosphere Saturday will continue a low flood risk across the CSRA. Highs will be seasonally hot in the lower 90s with feel around 100 degrees.
A typical summer pattern continues Saturday with seasonably hot temperatures in the afternoon in the lower to mid-90s with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon into tonight. The risk for heavy rain in any storms that form will keep a marginal flood risk in play. A marginal risk means localized flooding is possible in a few isolated areas, but mainly for flood prone spots. Lightning and brief strong gusts are possible in storms.
Saturday looks similar to Friday with highs in the low 90s and isolated to widely scattered storms in the afternoon. Storms Saturday will be driven by a backdoor cold front pushing northeast to southwest through the region.
