We are going to clean this up’: Augusta leaders confront budget shortfall

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Augusta Commission members on Tuesday started trying to figure out how to cover a nearly $11 million budget deficit.

The budget deficit comes several months after it was discovered that the city had to pay more than $6 million to the federal government for unspent grant money.
