Leaders donate to Izzy Scott Foundation, proclaim Childhood Cardiac Arrest Awareness Day

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Columbia County commissioners approved more than $6,000 to be donated to the Izzy Scott Foundation’s Safe Splash Summit.

Izzy Scott lived in Grovetown and drowned during a swimming lesson in Burke County. Since then, his family launched the Izzy Scott Foundation, allowing kids the opportunity to receive safe swim lessons, even teaming up with the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
