NORTH AUGUSTA, SC. (WRDW/WAGT) – North Augusta senior offensive lineman Malcolm Gaston has made his college decision, one of the biggest choices of his career since first putting on a helmet.
Gaston’s recruiting journey has been a long one. The 3-star inside offensive lineman received in-person visits from Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, attended games with the South Carolina Gamecocks, and took tours at Virginia Tech and Liberty. Originally, Gaston was expected to announce his commitment back on May 2. At that time, Liberty wasn’t even among his top four schools which included Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia, and North Carolina.
