AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office are investigating the discovery of a body found in the Savannah River, Saturday.
Deputies responded to the 100 block of Riverbend Drive around 3:46 p.m. Once there, they located the body of an unidentified man washed ashore near the river.
Coroner Mark Bowen responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled. The identity of the body has not been determined due to its condition…
