AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Nearly 40,000 people who live and work on Fort Gordon depend on its fire and emergency services, but a leaked memo obtained by 12 On Your Side Investigates raises new concerns about whether the post has enough firefighters to respond in a crisis.
The document, signed by Garrison Commander Colonel Anthony Kazor, authorizes Fort Gordon Fire and Emergency Services to operate at what’s called a “severe level of service.”
