BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – A rabid bat was found in Beech Island, exposing a dog to the virus — one of several recent rabies cases reported across South Carolina.
In Aiken County, the bat that tested positive for rabies was found near Storm Branch Road and Merchant Trader Lane in Beech Island.
One dog was exposed and will be quarantined as required in the South Carolina Rabies Control Act…
