Georgia pest control worker accused of stealing SC lottery tickets

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Authorities say a Georgia man who was providing pest control services at a South Carolina convenience store has been arrested for allegedly stealing lottery tickets and trying to cash them elsewhere.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested 39-year-old Harold Dean Pace III on two counts of intent to defraud with counterfeit game tickets after authorities investigated an incident dating back to 2023.

Warrants allege Pace stole the tickets from the 88 Mart at 13509 Highway 28 South in Clarks Hill and attempted to present them at separate stores in the North Augusta area: Circle K #3172 at 1014 Edgefield Rd., and Sprint Food Store #742 at 1186 Edgefield Rd…
