8-hour hearing features testimony on $2.9M deficit claim

WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – No decision was made today in the lawsuit between Burke County Sheriff Alfonzo Williams and the Board of Commission.

The case centers on a mandamus that Sheriff Williams filed against the county, claiming he is not being given a sufficient budget.

Court started at around 9:30 a.m. Monday with testimony from both sides lasting around eight hours.
