A restaurant chain known for its Latin and Asian cuisine appears to have closed the doors at one of its Midlands locations.
TakoSushi, which has several restaurants in South Carolina and in the Augusta area, has closed the location at 4711 Forest Drive suite 27 in Forest Acres. The location is listed as “permanently closed” on Google, and the Forest Drive spot no longer appears on the “locations” page of the company’s website. The restaurant was shuttered when a reporter stopped by at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, and a call to the restaurant was redirected to the voicemail of a different TakoSushi location.
The TakoSushi at 4711 Forest Drive is in a shopping center that is anchored by a Lowes Foods grocery store, and includes a number of other businesses such as Eggs Up Grill and a CVS, among others. The Forest Acres TakoSushi opened in May 2024.
