Government shutdown impacts airport workers in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Federal employees at Augusta Regional Airport are working without knowing when they will receive their next paycheck as the government shutdown continues.

Many employees at the airport are affected, including TSA workers at security screening checkpoints and FAA employees in air traffic control and maintenance, said Herbert Judon, airport executive director.

“The last pay cycle was the last one that they received, a partial check, and their next pay cycle, they won’t see anything,” Judon said…
