First Alert Forecast l FIRST ALERT for arctic cold and windy conditions Monday and Tuesday.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A FIRST ALERT has been issued for Monday and Tuesday for bitter cold and windy conditions Monday and near record low temperatures in the middle 20s Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Sunday will be a partly sunny and breezy day with our next front moving into the region. Gusts 20+ mph are expected during the day. A few showers are also possible Sunday afternoon and early evening ahead of the front. Afternoon highs will be warm in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Monday will be a windy and bitterly cold day for any time of the year – but especially for the second week of November – with highs only in the upper 40s and wind chill values in the 30s throughout most of the day. It will stay windy all day with 25 to 35 mph gusts, so you will want to be sure to secure outdoor objects like lawn furniture and trash and lower basketball goals to their lowest setting…
