Man wanted for murder last September in Petersburg is caught in Georgia, police say

Police in Petersburg say the suspect wanted in connection with a murder two months ago in the city has been arrested in Georgia.

In a statement Nov. 11, police said 42-year-old Prince Moore was picked up in Augusta by federal marshals and the Augusta Police. He has been charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Moore was wanted for the Sept. 29 shooting of Tyron Clanton at a gas station in the 1900 block of East Washington Street. Clanton later died at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg…
