CSRA (WJBF) – The Georgia Department of Transportation announced Thursday it has awarded three new contracts for projects in east-central Georgia, two of which are in the CSRA.
In Burke County, Gregory Bridge Company was given a $2.01 million project to replace the existing bridge on Quaker Road over Beaver Dam Creek.
Located about seven miles northwest of Waynesboro, the new bridge will be built in place of the existing bridge to minimize right-of-way and environmental impacts, according to Georgia DOT.
