Crews demolished the Augusta Hooters this week, four months after the Washington Road restaurant shut down in late July.
The teardown ends a Masters Week ritual where John Daly parked his RV outside to sign autographs and hawk merchandise. The restaurant sat 1 mile from Augusta National Golf Club. Last year, the 58-year-old golfer earned $780,000 selling signed golf balls, shirts, and hats from his RV outside.
This location closed after dozens of other Hooters restaurants shut down. The parent company filed for bankruptcy in March 2025. A private equity firm had bought the 42-year-old chain in 2019. More than 40 locations across the country have closed in the past couple of years…
