Aiken leaders look to propose ‘something meaningful’ in downtown development

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Aiken City Council unanimously approved a first reading to rezone land on the corner of Marlboro Street and Richland Avenue to downtown business zoning.

The currently wooded area adjacent to the Aiken Farmers Market has plans for a mixed-use development that would add housing and businesses to the city.
