AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The City of Augusta is announced Wednesday it has hired Kymber Keaton, M.S. EM to serve as the new director of the Augusta-Richmond County Emergency Management Agency.
According to the city, Keaton will oversee the county’s emergency preparedness, disaster response, mitigation planning, training programs and community outreach, working alongside local, state and federal partners.
“I am excited to begin my service with Augusta-Richmond County,” Keaton said. “Thiscommunity made a lasting impression on me during Hurricane Helene, and the resilience I witnessed here stayed with me. When the opportunity to join Augusta arose, it felt like the right place to contribute and lead.
