A South Carolina man died Saturday while locked up at a jail, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
At about 3:20 a.m. Saturday, 37-year-old Aiken resident Kevin V. Rodriguez was found unresponsive in his cell at the Aiken County Detention Center, the coroner’s office said Sunday in a news release. Rodriguez was hanging by a sheet when he was discovered, according to the release.
Despite efforts to revive Rodriguez, he was pronounced dead at the jail at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, the coroner’s office said. An autopsy will be performed in Newberry to determine Rodriguez’s manner and cause of death, according to the release…
