First Alert Forecast l Staying chilly this week, but sun finally makes a return

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – High pressure will build into the region and finally bring us a drier weather pattern this week. Temperatures will be well below average today. We get closer to seasonal temperatures into the middle of the week, but no big warm up in sight.

Sunshine finally returns today, but it will be another cold day with morning lows in the lower 30s and afternoon highs near 50 degrees.

The coldest temperatures of the week ahead arrive tonight/Wednesday morning with lows dropping into the upper 20s. A Lake Wind Advisory will go into effect from 10am – 11pm Wednesday. Southwest winds will increase throughout the day with gusts up to 30mph. We can expect a steady warm up Wednesday through Friday with highs reaching the lower 60s Wednesday and staying near 60 Thursday and Friday.

Another cold front moves through Friday bringing a small chance of rain Friday and another shot of arctic cold for next weekend. Highs next Saturday and Sunday will only be in the 50s…
