AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Members of VFW Post 649 surprised residents at Pruitt Nursing Home on Milledgeville Road with karaoke and gift distribution Tuesday afternoon.
The veterans organization said the visit was a way to honor veterans living at the nursing home.
A $120 million manufacturing facility is bringing hope to residents in an area that has struggled with high unemployment rates for years.
“I think it’s all about getting out and visiting regardless of where they are, a VA home, a nursing home, a professional health center.
