AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A town hall meeting was held Tuesday at Eisenhower Army Medical Center amid concerns that Fort Gordon’s hospital could be reduced to little more than a clinic.
Maj. Gen. Ryan Janovic, commanding general of U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon, hosted the discussion with Eisenhower Army Medical Center staff and a panel of top brass.
The panel included:
- Deputy Assistant Secretary of War, Health Services Policy and Oversight, Susan Orsega
- The Army Surgeon General and Commanding General of the Army Medical Command, Lt. Gen. Mary Izaguirre.
- The acting Deputy Director of the Defense Health Agency and acting Assistant Director of the Health Care Administration, Rear Adm. Matthew Case.
- The Director of the Defense Health Network East and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Medical Readiness Command East, Brig. Gen. James Burk.
