‘Stomach flu’ spreading across U.S., health officials warn

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Health officials are issuing a new warning about a highly contagious stomach virus called norovirus, commonly known as the stomach flu.

Cases of measles in the U.S. are on the rise, with North Carolina confirming its first recent case from a person traveling in the Raleigh-Durham Airport.

The foodborne illness causes diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain.
