First Alert Forecast l Rain continues tonight. Windy start Friday, but dry.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Rain will continue into tonight as a cold front moves through the region. Mostly dry and windy Friday behind the front. Beautiful outlook this weekend with plenty of sun. Looking warm this Christmas with highs near 70.

Widespread rain expected across the CSRA into tonight. Rain will finally clear out a few hours before sunrise Friday. Temperatures tonight will likely stay in the 60s until the front passes through and then temperatures will quickly drop to the 40s by early Friday morning. It will start getting windy tonight as the front pushes through with gusts near 30 mph before sunrise Friday.

Most of the rain should clear out early Friday and we’ll enjoy sun during most of the day. Looking breezy Friday behind the front – sustained wind 12-18 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Weekend outlook looks beautiful with morning lows in the 30s and afternoon highs in the 60s. Wind will be much calmer Saturday and Sunday. Highs Saturday will be near 60, but Sunday highs will be warmer with highs in the mid to upper 60s…
