RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Three Richmond County officers have been suspended after the arrest of a suspect during the Youngins with Money (Y.W.M.) arrests on Tuesday, December 16th.
Richmond County Sheriff Eugene Brantley held a press conference on Tuesday.
According to Sheriff Brantley, Deputy Nicholas Boyd has been suspended for 10 days for his actions in the arrest of De’Ante Cannon on December 16th.
In the news conference, Sheriff Brantley said that the deputies were chasing Cannon and had deployed canines, and once Boyd caught up with Cannon, Cannon resisted and Boyd hit Cannon twice…
