Tuesday evening update:
We started out our day with a blanket of cloud cover, but the clouds eroded in the CSRA in the afternoon. The sunshine and a southwest wind helped to warm us up into the mid 60s to low 70s. Augusta hit the 70 degree mark briefly. A strong ridge of high pressure is building over the South, with temperatures soaring to well above average for the holidays!
Expect clear skies and light winds tonight, as temperatures fall into the upper 40s to low 50s for Christmas Eve morning. Some patchy fog will be possible in the morning, but mostly clear and sunshine in the forecast for the afternoon as we reach 77 degrees in Augusta. The Southeast looks good to go for any travel! The forecast high temperature will be the same on Christmas…..
