First Alert Forecast l Record High Temperatures Saturday to Give Way to Arctic Cold for Last Week of 2025

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Saturday’s high temperature at Augusta Regional Airport of 80 degrees shattered the previous record of 77 set in 2015, but winter is set to return to close out the last week of 2025.

Clouds will return Sunday, as a backdoor cold front nudges in from the northeast. This front will not do much to cool us down, but more clouds, and the small chance for a few light rain showers, will keep highs about 6 to 8 degrees cooler than Saturday. Highs Sunday will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s, dependent on how long clouds hold over the region.

A second stronger cold front will push through Monday and drop our temperatures next week. It will be windy Monday with the front pushing through with gusts up to 30 mph possible. A few showers are also possible ahead of the front Monday morning. Highs Monday will be in the middle 60s, but that will occur early in the day, then temperatures will slowly fall throughout the afternoon…
