David Phelps‘ wide vocal range has wowed audiences from the Grand Ole Opry to the Sidney Opera House! You may know him from his years performing with the Gaither Vocal Band, or you may have seen him on the recent 48th Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC. He performed a beautiful tribute to honoree Michael Crawford, the original Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.
David joined me in the studio recently when he was in concert in Augusta. He talked about his most recent current tour, featuring music from pop to Broadway to inspirational.
“Because of the way I sing, I have the opportunity to step into a little classical, sometimes Nessun Dorma or something from Broadway, like ‘Somewhere’ from West Side Story. And of course, gospel music is where I find my home since I started.”…
