Finding Solutions: Grant helps families access free baby essentials in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – A new grant is helping more parents get baby essentials at Rural Health Services in Aiken, as the cost of infant supplies can burden families.

The facility’s diaper room gets used multiple times daily to distribute free diapers, formula and wipes to parents who need them, said Deborah McCarson, nurse manager at Rural Health Services Women & Children’s Center.

“This room gets used every day. Literally, we are in and out multiple times a day to help with giving diapers, formula and wipes out to patients and parents who need them,” McCarson said…
