Spencer Swift’s passion for music began long before most people ever thought of collecting as a lifelong pursuit. Born in 1929, he came of age in the 1940s and, as a teenager, he began buying records, one at a time, whenever he could.

What started as a young man’s fascination eventually became a meticulously curated archive of American popular music and Hollywood culture spanning more than five decades.

His daughter, Beverly Jordan, now has over 15,000 items that Spencer left her, carefully stored in her and her husband Kevin’s Big Canoe home…
