Burke County deputy on administrative leave for firing gun in animal complaint

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A deputy with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave after discharging a firearm during an animal complaint.

According to the sheriff’s office in a press release Tuesday, deputies were called to an animal complaint on Monday, Jan. 5 at approximately 5:30 p.m.
