2 Aiken County Sheriff’s Office employees demoted for inappropriate conduct

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Two Aiken County Sheriff’s Office employees have been demoted for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship while on duty, according to officials.

Authorities report that Sheriff Marty Sawyer took action to demote the employees after discovering their inappropriate conduct last month at the ACSO headquarters located on Hampton Avenue.

A father is now being charged in connection with an Orangeburg shooting that resulted in the death of his infant son and another man.
