Augusta officials held an emergency weather briefing on Tuesday in preparation for a potential polar vortex causing a winter storm possibly headed to Augusta this week.

Augusta Emergency Management Agency Director Kymber Keaton led the briefing, saying city departments were going through checklists to prepare for any weather incidents.
